Conscious Connected Breathing
"Breathwork"

Inspired by holotropic breathwork, this breathwork is a powerful technique for self-healing and self-exploration allowing for greater self-understanding, expansion of self-identity, and access to the roots of emotional and psychosomatic challenges. that we might face. The term holotropic comes from the Greek words “holos” (whole) and “trepein” (to go towards) which mean to go towards fullness.

Based on extensive research in psychiatric, psychotherapeutic and spiritual contexts, it was developed by psychiatrist and psychotherapist Dr Stanislav Grof and his wife Christina Grof when LSD therapy was banned in the 1970s. It implies a series of breathing, evocative music, focused energy release work and integration through art work and sharing. However, powers of healing and transformation only develop through connection with the breath, delving deeply into non-ordinary states of consciousness such as meditative and mystical experiences allowing deep healing as well as personal empowerment.

Holotropic breathwork provides access to expanded states of consciousness, in which your own wisdom connects with your inner power of healing and transformation. Any past experience that has constituted a difficulty, a blockage or a trauma is stored by our unconscious and the expanded state of consciousness allows its release.

This experience is for you if:

- You wish to experience an altered state of consciousness equivalent to a psychedelic state without drugs.

- You are looking for a more experiential approach to healing that goes beyond talking therapy.
- You are going through a major life crisis and are looking for perspective and an overview.
- You want to release unresolved issues from the past.
- You want to understand the emotional roots of a persistent physical/psychosomatic condition.
- You want to expand your consciousness and further explore your spiritual path.

Course of the workshop:

(3 hours / individual or 10 people max)

- The first part consists of theoretical teaching on the physiological effects of holotropic breathing, emotional intelligence as well as practical training.

- The second part consists of the holotropic breathing session:

The breather, lying on a mattress, eyes closed, breathes intensely for thirty to sixty minutes to the rhythm of music specially chosen to stimulate the emotional experience and the emergence of unconscious materials.

The breather then enters an altered state of consciousness. He remains aware of what is happening at the same time as he plunges into his inner worlds to meet himself.

The breather is totally supervised by the presence of the facilitator who ensures his safety, the care of his needs of the moment, and who will be able to channel his  experience if necessary.

- The last part consists of a deep relaxation, a moment of artistic expression, through drawing and/or writing and a time of sharing.
